How to use MOS Patch Planner to check and request the conflict patches ?

Pre- Requirement:
1. You should have the OCM configured for the Oracle home .
2. OCM 10.3.2 or higher is required to get the MOS patch planner feature .

Key Feature of MOS patch planner:
1. You can plan the application of your patch without applying the patch .
2. Help you to plan your plan activity ( conflicting patch ,available conflicting patch )
2 .It detect the patch conflict with the already applied patches in an Oracle home.
3. You can request for the merge /Overlay patch through MOS patch planner ,if conflict patch is NOT yet requested
4. If merge /Overlay patch is already available for the conflict patch then you can directly download the patch

Steps to use the MOS patch planner
Step 1: Open the "Patch and Updates" tab of MOS
Give the patch number that you want to install
Click on the "Search" button to get list of patches for all the available platform
Step 2: Search result will list the patch for all the available platform .
Select the patch for your Operating system
Step 3: Click on the "Add to Plan" button (this will be highlighted only when OCM 10.3.2 or higher is configured)

and proceed further.
